Winncare Accelerates Its International Development with the Acquisition of Herida Medical in the UK.
Winncare, chaired by Laurent Faugère, is one of the European leaders in the manufacture of medical equipment aimed at the prevention and management of dependency, catering to nursing homes (EHPAD) and home care (MAD). The company offers a comprehensive range of products, from medical beds to patient transfer equipment, including pressure ulcer prevention systems and therapeutic cushions.
Following the acquisition of French company Pharmaouest, Winncare has now acquired Herida Medical. Based in Leeds and employing 70 people, Herida specializes in the manufacture and distribution of pressure ulcer prevention devices and equipment for collective care facilities. The group is projected to achieve a turnover of €17 million for the current fiscal year.
This acquisition enables Winncare to strengthen its presence in the UK and expand its product range. With five commercial subsidiaries in France, Spain, Denmark, Poland, and the UK, as well as nine production units (France, UK, Spain, Poland, and Tunisia), Winncare now positions itself as the European leader in its sector, with a consolidated turnover exceeding €140 million and employing 700 people.
