Committed to a more sustainable business
A yearly reporting of CO2 emissions, accross the Group, to assess our performance and alignement with our targets.
A set of reduction initiatives identified, accross all functions, to match and exceed our targets
At the end of every Fiscal Year, we evaluate the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions generated accross the Group. The result is shared internally with all the employees and is communicated to key stakeholders.
To showcase our ambition to build a sustainable business, we decided at Winncare to cover most of emission centers relevant to our activity. In addition to a full Scope 1 and Scope 2 evaluation, we take into account all the Upstream flows (Purchasing, Travels, Commuting, freight in etc.) along side Downstream “Distribution” and “use of our sold products” emission centers.
Note: several Downstream activities do not apply to our company. And due to lack of visibility on end of life management of product by our customers, we’re exploring possibility of including this emission center in the future
As our group grows bigger, we proceed to an evaluation of the newly acquired facilities’ carbon performance at the end of the first full fiscal year withing the group. From the following fiscal year, the acquisition is part of the group’s reporting perimeter
Latest Carbon Footprint results
In FY22/23, we’re proud to have achieved a -15,5% reduction of our CEI (Carbon Emissions Index = Total emissions in tCO2e/Total Turnover in M€) with a result of 418 tCO2e/M€ vs 494 tCO2e/M€ in our baseline evaluation (FY20/21)
This performance is the result of 2 years of efforts such as reducing waste generated by production process, eco-designing dynamic mattresses’ pumps.

2022/2023 performance -15,5 % vs Baseline evaluation
In 2022/2023, 1 344 tCO2e (4% of total emissions) are Scope 1 & 2, 36 370 tCO2e (96% of total emissions) are Scope 3 with Purchasing representing over 80% of emisisons
To support our commitment, we’re constantly working on identifying and deploying reduction initiatives.
As a manufacturing business, purchasing is the biggest emission center and hence is one of our main focuses to achieve our reduction roadmap, supported by innovation and R&D roadmap.
To achieve Carbon reduction, we aim to put less stress on natural resources. Our Roadmap includes continuous improvement on waste reduction, energy consumption reduction to improve our direct emissions (Scope 1 & 2).
Consuming less initiatives are supported by R&D innovation and eco-design to make sure our products are optimized to match our customers needs while taking into consideration environmental criteria.
We are aiming to make our products using more sustainable materials. Our purchasing team works hardly to idenftify new recycled solutions, sourcing products from lower emission locations and unveiling new alternatives that comply with our quality requirements.
We believe that limiting climate change is a collective effort thats why we join forces with all our suppliers to build a more sustainable supply chain by making sure that unitary product emission is included in our sourcing criteria.
